Houston police say a homeless man who is already charged in the strangulation death of one woman may be a serial killer. Houston police arrested Lucky Ward last November and charged him in the strangulation death of Reita Long. On Monday, police announced Ward is suspected in the strangling deaths of two more women and two transgendered women. Investigators called ward a serial killer who searched for specific victims.
"He seemed to be targeting your homeless females," said Sgt. Eli Cisneros with the Houston Police Department.
The murders were stretched out over a nine-month period starting in January and ending in October. Officials say they made the connections using Ward's DNA and ask anyone with information about other cases that may be connected to call police.
