HOUSTON --Firefighters in Montgomery County are keeping an eye on hot spots from a brush fire that chewed up dozens of acres. They're still on the scene off FM149 and Sharp Road near Montgomery. Investigators say a man was burning leaves on his property Sunday afternoon when the high winds spread the flames. The fire burned the man's house and a nearby building. Firefighters say about 60 acres burned. They say the gusty winds created real problems. Bulldozers were brought in to remove brush and spot the fire from spreading. No one was hurt, but firefighters say people in the area may see quite a bit of smoke.
