Family member accused of sexually assaulting child

ROSENBERG, TX

After an investigation, Rosenberg police identified Cory Avila as a suspect in the sexual assault of the 4-year-old child. Avila was taken into custody on Wednesday evening. Police did not say how Avila and the child are related.

Avila, 21, is charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child. He is being held in Fort Bend County Jail on $85,000 bond.
