Two arrested after brief chase in NE Harris County

HOUSTON

The chase started around 5:15pm in the neighborhood of Haverstock Hills apartments on Aldine Bender and Lee Road.

Two suspects in a small silver car led police up and down several busy streets in the area until an officer was able to set up a strip of spikes along a road. The vehicle hit the spikes about five minutes into the chase, but the suspect behind the wheel kept driving on the rims for about two minutes.

Eventually, the two suspects bailed out of the car. One was caught immediately and the other was caught after a brief foot chase in a neighborhood.

It wasn't immediately clear why police were pursuing the suspects.
