Person pulled from SUV that drove into lake

THE WOODLANDS, TX Crews pulled the blue Toyota Rav 4 from Lake Robbins near the southbound feeder lanes of I-45 shortly after 5pm, and when they did, they discovered a 59-year-old female inside. CPR was performed on her and responders were able to get a weak pulse. We've been told she's listed in critical condition at the ICU of Memorial Hermann in The Woodlands.

Investigators say she was driving along the I-45 feeder road just before 4:30pm when for some reason, she veered off the road, jumped the curb, hit construction pipes and rolled about 100 feet into the water.

Five witnesses tried to jump into the water to get to her, but they couldn't because the windows on her vehicle were rolled up.

"Witness stated that he got out of the water around 4:35, 4:36 and they just pulled her out just a little after 5pm, so she had been in the water the whole time," said a deputy at the scene. "After that, the EMS did get a pulse on her."

At this point, we don't know why she veered off the road.
