Motorcycle rider dies in accident on North Loop

HOUSTON According to Houston police, witnesses say there were several motorcycles traveling at a high rate of speed, weaving in and out of traffic. One of the vehicles reportedly side-swiped a vehicle eastbound near T.C. Jester. That rider lost control of his motorcycle, slid several meters on the concrete and hit a construction sign pole.

The rider, who's only been identified as a 21-year-old male, died at the scene.

Police say alcohol was not a factor and the rider was wearing a helmet. No one else was injured.
