Woman charged in connection with teen's death

HOUSTON Charlott Brown has been charged with murder. According to court documents, Brown was the getaway driver after the fatal shooting of 19-year-old Zanthony Homer on September 22, 2010. The incident happened at the Timbers of Inwood Forest apartments on Gulf Bank Road near Antoine. Police say deputies responded to reports of a shooting and found Homer shot multiple times in the courtyard. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses say Homer was reportedly arguing with another male prior to the shooting. That male fled the scene.

After an extensive investigation, Cordell Hines, 21, was arrested and charged with the murder of Homer. According to court documents, the investigation further indicated that Hines was driven to and from the murder scene by Brown.

Brown, 32, was arrested late Monday night. She is being held without bond.
