According to TxDOT, roadways are drying up in the Bryan District. The northern parts of Freestone County were wet for several hours on Wednesday. Icing is expected during the night in Freestone County mainly on bridges and overpasses and some roadways.

TxDOT crews in all 10 counties will be out monitoring bridges, overpasses, and roadways until the temperature gets above freezing. However, with things drying up except in Freestone County, officials do not expect much freezing activity.

According to ABC13 Meteorologist Travis Herzog, "A hard freeze is coming tonight with lows down into the lower 20s and upper teens. Anything that freezes over tonight will not thaw until the late morning hours of Thursday."

Road conditions can be found at www.txdot.gov or by calling the Texas Road Condition and Travel Information Line at 1-800-452-9292.

METRO will be providing normally scheduled Park and Ride and local transit services this afternoon but due to weather conditions on local freeways and overpasses delays and longer trip times are expected.

HOV lanes are expected to be open at this time but operation is continually evaluated. Weather and road conditions will be monitored and services adjusted as needed. For more information, customers are encouraged to visit www.ridemetro.org or call 713-635-4000.
