Flights getting back to normal at Houston airports

HOUSTON

Continental Airlines suspended most of its operations to and from Bush Intercontinental starting at 6pm Thursday. Southwest Airlines suspended flights to and from Hobby starting at 6:15pm Thursday.

According to Houston Airport Systems spokesperson Marlene McClinton, Continental Airlines restored flights to 30 percent of normal operations by noon Friday, 60 percent by 3pm and expected to have operations at 100 percent by 6pm. She added that Southwest Airlines is operating as normal at Hobby Airport.

United, US Air, KLM, Air France and Lufthansa suspended operations during the storm, as did Delta Airlines and Air Canada.

American Airlines and Alaska Airlines planned to operate flights as normal depending on weather conditions.
