Reward increased for help catching missing sex offender

HOUSTON

A $7,500 cash reward is now being offered for information that leads to the arrest of 39-year-old Timothy Rosales III. Rosales cut off an electronic monitoring device and escaped from a Houston halfway house on Monday. He was added to DPS's 10 Most Wanted Fugitives the next day.

Rosales was convicted of two aggravated sexual assaults in Potter County in 1987. He is now wanted on a felony charge of violating civil commitment, and a parole violation charge. He is considered armed and dangerous, and authorities say anyone assisting the fugitive could also face charges.

Rosales is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 165 pounds. He has brown eyes and a shaved head. Rosales has scars on his right and left arms, on his right wrist and on his back, chest and head. He has tattoos on his left shoulder, arm and leg and on his back and chest. His right arm is discolored.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-252-8477 (TIPS).
