House fire displaces Santa Fe family

A house fire in Santa Fe on Wednesday killed two dogs and displaced a family.

A family was displaced Wednesday after a fire at their Santa Fe home

Authorities were dispatched around 2:20pm to a home in the 4700 block of Cherry Street after they received report of the fire. When they arrived at the scene, the home was engulfed in flames. Authorities tried to search for victims, but the fire quickly spread. Luckily, the homeowners were at work at the time. However, the family's two dogs were killed.

Officials are still trying to determine the cause of the fire.

The displaced residents are being assisted and housed by family members.
