BEAUMONT, TX --
Federal officials say a Lufkin man and woman have pleaded guilty to charges related to a 2007 double homicide ordered by an Aryan Brotherhood of Texas leader. Brent Stalsby, 30, pleaded guilty Friday to committing a violent crime in aid of racketeering activity in the deaths of David Mitchamore and Christy Rochelle Brown in Nacogdoches. Terry Stalsby, 29, pleaded guilty to charges of accessory after the fact.
Federal officials say Mitchamore was killed for failing to pay a debt owed to a general in the gang. Authorities say Brown was killed because gang members wanted to eliminate any witnesses.
Brent Stalsby faces Life in federal prison, while Terry Stalsby faces up to 15 years in federal prison. Three others have pleaded guilty and also await sentencing in the case.
