Anyone may enter any address of interest and see a map and listing of offenders within one mile of that address and then can register their address to be continuously monitored. This will send an email alerting them if an offender should register an address within one mile of their registered address.
There is no cost for the use of this system and there is not a limit on the number of addresses that can be monitored.
Sheriff Tommy Gage said, "The purpose of this system is to lessen the anxiety of our citizens by proactively alerting them should an offender move within the proximity of the address they have registered. This will enhance the security and safety of all of our citizens. We are proud to offer this service to everyone here in Montgomery County."
