Robber aims shotgun at store clerk during heist

Detectives need help identifying the robber who pointed a shotgun at a clerk while demanding cash from a northeast Houston convenience store.

Detectives are searching for a violent robber who pointed a shotgun at a clerk before stealing money from the cash register.

Shortly after midnight Sunday, an armed robber entered a gas station in the 10000 block of North Beltway 8 East and immediately jumped over the counter, demanding the clerk give him cash from the register. Then the suspect pushed the clerk to the floor and stole the money before fleeing on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a black male between 17-25 years of age, about 5 feet 5 inches tall with a muscular build. The suspect was wearing a black ski mask, gray hoodie and black jeans.

Surveillance cameras captured the armed suspect committing the robbery. Anyone with information regarding his identity is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.
