Reward offered to help catch ID theft suspect

HOUSTON In the first week of October of 2010, investigators say a woman reported her purse stolen from her vehicle. Then on October 11, a woman used the victim's identity to obtain an ID card at a Houston Sam's wholesale club.

The suspect then reportedly went to several stories in Beaumont, Friendswood and Stafford and bought merchandise using the victim's identity. Investigators say fraudulent checks were used at Target, Kohl's and HEB stores.

The same woman is suspected in several other cases. In all, she's suspected of making $2,000 worth of unauthorized purchases.

The photo above is of the suspect when investigators say she obtained an ID card using the victim's identity.

The suspect is described as a black female, 30-40 years of age, 5-foot-7 to5-foot-9 and weighs 160-170 pounds.
