Our investigation leads to public admonition of judge

HOUSTON A state judicial ethics panel says former Liberty County Judge Phil Fitzgerald cast public discredit upon the integrity of Texas justice. Back in 2008, 13 Undercover reported Fitzgerald dismissed criminal cases including a DWI for a long time friend, lawyer Glen Vickery.

The former county judge is now the focus of a federal grand jury investigation into allegations his family profited from Hurricane Ike clean up. That was exposed by 13 Undercover with the help of The Cleveland Advocate newspaper.
