HOUSTON --All lanes of the Gulf Freeway are back open after a fuel spill from an 18-wheeler accident had them closed for hours. The accident happened around 2:30am on the freeway near Woodridge. The 18-wheeler lost control heading north on the freeway and hit a concrete median. The crash damaged the cab of the truck and ruptured the fuel tank, causing a spill that stretches about 40 feet.
HazMat crews cleaned up the spill and traffic is back to normal.
