Local radio personality runs for a good cause

HOUSTON Kevin Kline's journey began at noon yesterday on a treadmill at the Republic Harley Davidson in Stafford. The 93Q morning show host stepped off at noon today, 24 hours later but he wasn't finished. Fans cheered him on as he left the store and immediately started running 13.1 miles to Texas Children's Cancer Center.

He ran a total of 90 miles in 26 hours and 45 minutes. Kline says the effort is nothing compared to the work the hospital does to help sick kids.

"Her surgery that she had here performed by Dr. Olitoya, he operated on her for 28 hours straight. And he never took a break and I know how fatigued I was at 26 hours, and I didn't have a life in the balance," said Kline.

Kline's goal is to raise $50,000 to support pediatric cancer research.
