The passenger in the Chevrolet was identified as Sam Carson. The driver in the Camry was identified as Mary Pena Jackson and her passenger as Aundre Holmes.
After the crash the unknown driver of the Chevrolet fled by foot, southbound on Ella Boulevard and failed to stop and render aid. Jackson, Holmes, and Carson were transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital with life threatening injuries.
Jackson later died at the hospital from injuries sustained during the crash. Holmes and Carson still remain in the hospital at this time receiving treatment to the injuries they sustained during the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
