December 29, 2010 1:40:00 PM PST
Looking for something to do on New Year's Eve? Why not attend the city's official celebration "Gloworama" at Discovery Green? ABC-13 will be there to catch the action live at 11:05pm. But the party starts at 7pm with ice skating demonstrations and skating for everyone until midnight. You can rock out to live music from Runaway Sun and Jesse Dayton, plus catch the Illuminated Art Car Parade down Avenida de las Americas starting at 9:30pm.

"Gloworama is super fun and it's cool. We have over 70 cars that are participating," said Angie Bertinot with the Houston Downtown District. "They all will roll down Avenida de las Americas and it's not just cars. It's scooters, there are people on rollerblades. There are fire spinners. It is just really something that is a spectacle to see and it's just a blast to watch."

At 11:05pm, ABC-13 will bring you the light and video show followed by fireworks at midnight. VIP tickets are available for The pre-glo party at the George R. Brown Center. Click Here for more information on the event.
