Man shot outside cabaret by armed robber

HOUSTON The shooting happened around 11:45pm Thursday at Moments Cabaret off the North Freeway and Gulf Bank. Police say the man was walking to his car when an armed robber ran up to him and demanded cash. At some point, the suspect opened fire, hitting the man and then took off in a waiting car.

The victim is expected to be OK.

Police believe the shooter may have been involved in another robbery about an hour earlier at a nearby Motel 6.
