Man wanted in security guard killing shot dead in Mexico

Fidencio Maravillo Martinez, aka Fidencio Martiez Maravillo, was killed in Mexico. He had been wanted for the fatal shooting of a security officer at a restaurant in Montgomery County.

A man wanted in the shooting death of a security officer at a restaurant in Montgomery County has been killed in Mexico. Montgomery County Sheriff's Office investigators have confirmed that Fidencio Maravillo Martinez was found shot to death in Mexico.

Deputies had obtained a murder warrant for the arrest of Martinez after the investigation in the shooting death of security officer Jose Maximino Benitez. He was shot inside a Taqueria Arandas in Spring on August 14.

Authorities say Martinez was the apparent victim of a murder. They have not released the circumstances behind the shooting in Mexico, nor whether anyone was arrested in his murder.
