Killeen police investigating child assaults

KILLEEN, TX Police spokeswoman Carroll Smith tells the Austin American-Statesman that there were "some similarities."

Police say that on Friday a 9-year-old girl was walking to a bus stop when she was abducted, assaulted and then found in another part of Killeen. The 11-year-old had also been abducted on the way to a bus stop, assaulted at a different location and released.

Smith says police don't have any suspects.

The Killeen Daily Herald reports that police Chief Dennis Baldwin would not confirm whether the incident Friday was a sexual assault. Police said at the time that the October incident was a sexual assault.
