Joyce's husband, William Lynch, was arrested for an unrelated traffic violation in Louisiana. Investigators say he confessed to beating his wife, but says she was still breathing when he left her.
Lynch has since been returned to Harris County and appeared in court Thursday morning. Prosecutors say blood found on his shoe is being analyzed. He is being held on $275,000 bond.Husband charged with fatally beating wife
HOUSTON
Joyce Lynch, 45, was found murdered in her northwest Harris County home on November 27. Her teenage son found her body inside her home on Yorktown Colony and Allerton. Her car was also missing.
Joyce died from multiple blunt force injuries. At the time police say they believed she knew her attacker.
