Police: Fight over $50, tattoo ends in fatal stabbing

HOUSTON Deputies found a man's body at the InTown Suites Hotel on Rolling Creek at FM 1960 in northwest Harris County. Deputies say two men got into an argument over $50 and a tattoo and one of them pulled a knife and stabbed the other.

"Some of the residents here at the InTown Suites assisted in detaining a male who was involved in the altercation with the victim," said Sgt. Greg Pinkins with the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

The man who was stabbed died before help could arrive.

The suspect, Ernest Leyba, is currently booked into the Harris County Jail charged with murder. No bond has been set in the case.
