Tonight, Houston Mayor Annise Parker is inviting everyone to the city's annual holiday celebration. The holiday party is this evening. It includes a tree lighting, music, fireworks and a visit from jolly old Saint Nick. Grammy-award winning singer Eddie Levert of the O-Jays will also perform. The fun starts at 6pm at Hermann square at city hall, which is located at 901 Bagby.

The city of Pasadena is also hosting its annual Christmas tree lighting event tonight. Mr. and Mrs. Claus are expected to stop by and there will be hayrides, entertainment and refreshments. The event runs from 6pm to 9pm at Pasadena City Hall. That's located at 1211 Southmore.

And the tree will be lit up tonight in Pearland, as well during its annual hometown Christmas festival. Before the tree lighting, there will be a live band and tons of activities, including horse and carriage rides...and yes, even sledding on a hill made out of real snow. The event runs from 7pm until 10pm tonight at Pearland Town Center.
