Day care worker charged with injury to child

HOUSTON Jennifer Stacy Sides, 34, was arrested and is charged with injury to a child.

Deputies say the charge stems from a year-long investigation regarding an incident that occurred on November 7, 2009, when Fort Bend detectives were contacted by Memorial Hermann Hospital regarding a 9-month-old infant being treated for severe head trauma. The injuries are alleged to have occurred at a home-based childcare facility in the New Territory subdivision under Sides' supervision.

Sides turned herself into the Ft. Bend Co. Sheriff's Office on November 23, 2010. She is being held on $30,000 bond.
