Mobile home fire kills woman

MONTGOMERY, TX The woman, tentatively identified by family members as Narcissa "Cissy" Martin Boulware, 93, perished in her home late Sunday night, where she lived alone on Cissy's Lane off of FM 149, south of the City of Montgomery. Montgomery Fire Department and Lake Conroe arrived on scene at around 10:45pm Sunday to find her single wide mobile home fully involved with fire. The roof had already collapsed when firefighters arrived on scene, making a rescue attempt impossible, according to the Montgomery County Fire Marshal's Office.

Justice of the Peace Lanny Moriarty ordered the body of the victim sent to the Dallas County Medical Examiner for an autopsy and for positive identification.

Family members say that there were smoke detectors in the mobile home but could not confirm that they were in good working order.

The Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause for the fire.
