A woman is in custody accused of two bank robberies in Galveston. Police say they caught Kristen Jay on Friday. They say she threatened a teller at the IBC Bank on Seawall Boulevard and took cash. She was caught nearby. Police say in excess of $3,000 was recovered, as well as the clothing worn during the actual robbery.

Authorities say Jay is linked to a robbery from last month. In that robbery, police say Jay was seen on surveillance cameras wearing a long white trench coat. The money in that case has yet to be recovered.

Jay, 28, is charged with two counts of robbery. She is being held on $200,000 bond.
