A precautionary lockdown due to police activity has been lifted for three schools in the Manvel area. According to Alvin ISD Spokesperson Shirley Brothers, the three schools - Manvel High School, Manvel Middle School and Mason Elementary School - were on lockdown as a precaution as police search a wooded area nearby for a man who fled after police were called out to a trespassing case.

At around 10am, police were called to a location very close to the Brazoria County courthouse annex in Manvel after the man fled.

The district says the lockdown was lifted about an hour and a half later.

Manvel police say they did not find the trespasser.
