County clerk: 59 complaints of election code violations

HOUSTON They say that of those cases, the seven investigated so far found no substantiated claims of voter fraud or intimidation.

The county attorney is working with the City of Houston and Harris County District Attorney as well as the U.S. Department of Justice to make certain there are no violations and to handle properly any complaints that arise.

County officials clarified the rules as they apply to poll watchers. They say they may put up tape at a voting site to make sure the poll watchers abide by regulations as to how close they may get to voting booths.
