Two female college students report attack, threat

Detectives are trying to identify the man depicted in the sketch. They say he tried to force a San Jacinto College female student in an older model Ford pickup on October 13. The student managed to get away.

San Jacinto College is warning students to be alert. There have been a couple of incidents in the past week at the south campus where women were approached by a suspicious man. The first incident happened at the Fine Arts building. A man propositioned a student and threatened her when she turned him down. She threatened him in return and he took off. That was about a month ago

The most recent event was two weeks ago in front of the Interactive Learning Center on the south campus.

Authorities released a sketch of the man campus police say tried to force a woman into his vehicle on the afternoon of October 13. He is described as black, in his early 30s, with a tattoo on his right forearm, and driving an older model red pickup truck. At the time of the attack, he was wearing a white shirt, black cap and diamond stud in his left ear.

The woman was able to get away from him. She wasn't hurt. Call campus police if you have any information in the case.
