Man wanted for fatally shooting his wife as she slept

Juan Castillo-Cruz, 30, is charged with murder and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Law enforcement officials are seeking the public's assistance in locating a man wanted for murdering his wife on the south side of Houston. On February 4, 2010, Juan Castillo-Cruz was at home with his wife and two children in the 5000 block of Jezebel. Castillo-Cruz and his wife got into an argument. She eventually took their two children upstairs and went to bed. Sometime during the night, Castillo-Cruz went into the bedroom with a gun and climbed on the bed. He shot the victim once in the head as she was sleeping. She died at the scene.

Castillo-Cruz, 30, was charged with murder and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

He is a 30-year-old Hispanic male, who is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs around 225 pounds. He has black hair with brown eyes.
