Man charged after deadly single-car wreck

Miguel Angel Grimaldo suffered minor injuries and was arrested at the scene. He's been charged with intoxication manslaughter.

A man is facing charges after a deadly single-car accident in north Houston Sunday morning. It was around 4:30am when police say Miguel Angel Grimaldo, 29, was driving at a high rate of speed along Lillia Road near Aldine Bender. In the vehicle with him was a 24-year-old passenger.

According to investigators, Grimaldo drove right through a stop sign and the vehicle struck several trees, instantly killing the passenger.

Grimaldo suffered minor injuries and was arrested at the scene. He's been charged with intoxication manslaughter.
