Dead man found near apartment pool

HOUSTON Residents reported hearing gunshots at the Shadow Creek Apartments on Pinemont and Langfield, near building 10. When they approached the area, they discovered a male lying on a walkway between apartment buildings. Houston Fire Department personnel were called to the scene to administer first aid, but later pronounced the victim dead of a gunshot wound to the chest.

"We have one person of interest in custody who was found to be in possession of a weapon. We're not sure if this person is a suspect or not," said an investigator on the scene.

At this time, there is no known suspect or motive. The victim's name has not been released.
