FBI: Man smelling of alcohol robs bank at gunpoint

HOUSTON No one was physically injured during the robbery that occurred around 1pm Tuesday at grocery store in the 5300 block of Antoine.

Detectives said the suspect entered the store and headed straight to the bank. The man approached the teller, threw a plastic bag on the counter and took out a large gun.

He pointed the weapon at the teller and demanded cash. The suspect took the money and fled the bank on foot.

The robber is described as a white male who is about 45-50 years old, 6 feet 1 inch tall, 200 pounds with a medium build. He has gray hair and an unshaven grey beard. He wore a white T-shirt, khaki pants and prescription glasses.

Witnesses said he smelled strongly of alcohol. He was armed with a large, black semi-automatic handgun.
