Reward offered over suspicious powder sent to HISD schools

The FBI is offering a $100,000 reward that leads to the arrest of the person who sent suspicious powder to 17 HISD schools.

A reward has been announced for information leading to the arrest after letters containing a suspicious powder were mailed to HISD schools. The FBI and the postal service have announced a $100,000 reward. A total of 17 schools have received letters over the past week containing some type of powder.

An initial test on some of those letters showed no evidence of harmful substances. The investigation is still ongoing and federal officials say no arrests have been made.
