Texans new tailgating policy goes in effect

HOUSTON Fans had to have either game tickets or tailgate passes to enter Reliant stadium's parking lot today. The new rules were put two weeks ago after unruly fans started fights at the Cowboys game. Some fans appreciated the smaller crowd and extra parking.

But others think the team overreacted and took the fun out of tailgating. One fan says his 12 pre-paid parking spaces are now useless.

"Now we're out a couple maybe three grand, four grand because we are not able to use them tickets anymore," said tailgater E.G. Vasquez.

A few dozen fans without tickets parked at the old Astroworld property across the street to tailgate there. .
