Teacher's aide charged with improper relationship with student

HOUSTON According to Montgomery County Precinct 5 constables, Krystal Bernard was arrested Wednesday at the school. She is charged with improper relationship between educator and student. The second degree felony offense is defined as follows: An employee of a public or private primary or secondary school commits an offense if the employee engages in sexual contact, sexual intercourse, or deviate sexual intercourse with a person who is enrolled in a public or private primary or secondary school at which the employee works and who is not the employee's spouse..

A statement from Magnolia ISD says Bernard is on administrative leave pending the results of an investigation. They refuse to go into details, citing issues of personnel privacy and confidentiality.
