Man arrested for purse snatching at 99 Cent store

ROSENBERG, TX About 3:30pm Wednesday, Rosenberg police responded to a report of a purse being stolen from a car parked at the 99 Cent store on Avenue H.

Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the suspect fled the officers. The suspect led police on a pursuit from the Rosenberg area south on Highway 59. The suspect eventually stopped on FM 2919 in Kendleton and was taken into custody without incident.

Pete Morales, 29, of Rosenberg, was arrested and charged with burglary of a motor vehicle and evading arrest. He is currently in the Fort Bend County Jail.
