A string of copper thefts in northwest Harris County has some shop owners angry, especially since they've been hit before. The most recent theft happened on FM 1960 near Jones Road in northwest Harris County. It was the latest theft in a string of copper robberies targeting local businesses. One shop owner installed a surveillance camera on his business and captured the thief's movements.

The thief was caught on camera wearing white gloves to protect himself from shock. He also came prepared with a ladder. One electrician believes the crook is an expert.

"Because there's less construction going on, so there's electricians who are trained out there who can't find a job right now," said electrician Bob Mills.

The man has at least once accomplice and they're driving two trucks. If you have any information about these thefts, you're asked to call authorities.
