A man was hit and killed while walking along the road in southeast Houston last night. It happened around 8:30pm on Old Galveston Road at Palmcroft. Police say two men were walking on the shoulder when they were hit by a white van. One of the pedestrians, a 31-year-old man, died. The other man, 29, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital and is in serious, but stable condition.
