One person has been fatally shot in Pasadena after a confrontation.

Pasadena police say a confrontation occurred between the victim and another person. They confirm 17-year-old Joseph Solis was shot and killed.

Police told us Solis was actually a passenger in a vehicle traveling westbound on West Jackson Street near Vince around 4pm when he saw a man with whom he previously had a confrontation. We're told Solis got out of the vehicle and threatened the man who would become the suspect. That suspect pulled a gun and fired at least three times, striking Solis.

He then staggered to a nearby yard and collapsed in a flower bed there. It is unclear if Solis was armed or not.

Pasadena police say they have arrested the suspect, a Hispanic male between 18 and 20 years of age.
