A teacher in Conroe ISD is facing charges after investigators say he tried to solicit what he thought was a teenage girl for sex online. The teacher, Thomas Vickers, 42, was caught in an online sting. Vickers teaches social studies at Moorhead Jr. High in the Conroe ISD, and the district tells us he's worked there for 15 years.

Conroe ISD police arrested Vickers at the school in cooperation with the Houston Metro Internet Crimes Against Children task force. Investigators say Vickers tried to solicit what he thought was a 14-year-old girl in a chat room.

They say within the first 20 minutes of the online chat, Vickers was turning the conversation obscene, sending pictures of himself naked and sending child pornography.

"After the formalities, he became very sexually aggressive in conversation with the undercover officer, and it was clear that he wanted to meet," said Sgt. Gary Spurger with the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office.

We are told that Vickers is married and has two children of his own, ages 5 and 6. Investigators are concerned there may be real victims out there, since Vickers apparently bragged about relationships with underage girls in the online chat.

Investigators are asking anyone who knows anything to give them at call at the Precinct 4 Constable's Office.

Vickers is currently at the Harris County Jail on a $150,000 bond.
