TxDOT releases list of most congested roadways

HOUSTON The Texas Department of Transportation's list of the most congested roadways in the state is out, and the top two worst places for congestion are in Harris County.

According to TxDOT data, the North Freeway from the North Sam Houston Parkway to the North Loop, is most congested roadway in the state.

The second worst is the Southwest Freeway, between the West Loop and South Freeway.

In fact, five of the state's worst stretches are in Harris County.

Solutions to the congestion in Harris County include rebuilding and adding managed lanes, expanding light rail, widening I-10 and constructing more major interchanges.
