Girl, 4, struck by stray bullet in NE Harris County

HOUSTON The four-year-old was shot a little before 3pm while she was inside a home in the 13000 block of Castillian. Authorities believe the little girl is expected to survive.

The girl's stepfather told deputies that three men fired several shots at the back door area and kicked in that door before fleeing.

He gave deputies a description of the suspects' vehicle, which was spotted in the Woodforest area a short time later. The suspects inside the car were immediately arrested.

It wasn't immediately clear whether the stepdad knew the suspects.
