Man shot to death in front of his girlfriend

HOUSTON It happened a little after midnight at the Villa Americana apartments on Selinsky at Sesame. Homicide detectives say several males were waiting in the parking lot for a couple to get home. When that couple arrived, the group of men ambushed them and shot the boyfriend several times. The boyfriend was pronounced dead at the scene.

The girlfriend was able to escape without any injuries. She told detectives she believes an ex-boyfriend is to blame.

The investigation is continuing.
