A suspected robber is in the hospital with a gunshot wound, and investigators say the bullet came from one of his accomplices. It happened around midnight at a business on Thompson near Baytown. Deputies say three men were trying to rob a group of men playing cards.

During the holdup, one of the robbers tripped, fell to the ground and accidentally shot his gun. The bullet hit one of his accomplices in the stomach. He's in serious condition. The two other robbers got away.
