Two boaters rescued after 17 hours in Trinity Bay
HOUSTON
The Coast Guard says the boaters were rescued around 8 a.m.
Monday. Their small pleasure craft overturned Sunday afternoon in
Trinity Bay.
The Coast Guard says the boaters, who wore life jackets were on
their way from Eagle Point, in Galveston County, when their boat
began taking on water. The two were unable to make a distress call,
but managed to stay with the capsized vessel.
Further details on the conditions of the pair were not
immediately released. The Coast Guard dispatched a rescue vessel to
help return the boaters to land.
