Blowout blamed for deadly east Texas crash
TYLER, TX
The crash happened at 7:45 a.m. Saturday on Interstate 20, about
15 miles northwest of Tyler. Smith County Justice of the Peace
James Meredith identifies the dead as 20-year-old Michael Sanchez
of Kennedale, 18-year-old Ruban Vargas of Fort Worth and Emilio
Banda-Hernandez of Fort Worth, age unknown.
The driver of the car, 28-year-old Enrique Martinez of Fort
Worth, was treated for minor injuries at East Texas Medical Center
in Tyler and discharged. Another passenger, 37-year-old Jermaine
Bailey of Fort Worth, was in fair condition at the Tyler hospital.
